CALDOSE
Calculation of equivalent dose to radiosensitive organs and tissues of the human body is the main concern of the studies done by the radiation dosimetry group of the Department of Nuclear Energy at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife/Brazil.

The website caldose.org presents the results of these studies: Human phantoms, software for organ equivalent dose calculation, real time Monte Carlo, conversion coefficients, Monte Carlo computer codes and publications.

Human Phantoms

Clicking on the images on the left takes you to the page where you can download the ICRP89-based, posture-specific human adult phantoms FASH and MASH.

CALDose_X software

CALDose_X 5.0 is the current version of a software program for  X-ray diagnosis you can download for calculating organ absorbed doses and radiological risks using the ICRP89- based FASH and MASH phantoms.

CALDose_X
and XCT online

This dosimetric service offers real-time Monte Carlo calculations of organ absorbed doses and radiological risks for adult female and male phantoms as a function of total body mass and standing height, and for pediatric reference phantoms for conventional radiography and for computerized tomography.

Conversion Coefficients

Conversion coefficients for the MASH and FASH ICRP89-based standing and supine human phantoms calculated for external and internal exposure to photons and electrons.

Monte Carlo Computer Codes

EGSnrc user codes for the ICRP89-based phantoms FASH and MASH can be requested here.

Publications

Publications of the DEN/UFPE radiation dosimetry group can be downloaded as pdf-files.
